The CW has revealed the premiere date for its annual DC series crossover event. This year, The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl will participate in a three-part crossover starting on December 9th. For that week only, The Flash and Supergirl will switch time slots, meaning that The Flash will kick things off on Sunday, December 9th, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10th and Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11th.

Unlike previously, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will not be participate in this year’s “Arrowverse” crossover. Executive producer Keto Shimizu explained that the reason for leaving Legends out of the event is because last year’s “Crisis on Earth-X” crossover was such a “gargantuan” event that it would be hard to top this year.
“It was crazy. For four shows to do that again, and to try and make it bigger than last time, I just don’t think it’s possible,” says Shimizu.
While fans may have felt disappointment from hearing this news, the announcement of Batwoman’s appearance during the December crossover surely made up for it. Australian actor and model Ruby Rose is set play the role of Kate Kane/Batwoman, and if things go well, it’s possible that the actress could see herself in her own series inspired by the character.
