Jana Burceska is excited to “Dance Alone” on the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv.
After months of waiting, FYR Macedonia’s entry was finally revealed during the television programme “Stisni Play” on FYR Macedonia’s MRT.
The song was written and produced by Joacim Persson, Alex Omar, Florence A. and Bobi-Leon Milanov, who have signed numerous successful songs for the contest and topped the charts with famous artists like Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Lady Gaga, Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and more.
The video story for “Dance Alone” was developed and directed by Sergey Zhelezko, a young and talented Russian director currently working for “Nu Boyana Film Studios” in Sofia. It shows an elderly woman travel back in time to her younger days via virtual reality, and what is a little funny is that Jana has some male company in her world, while she sings about dancing alone.
The singer first came on television in 2010, appearing on the Macedonian Idol, where she finished 5th. She has also participated in the Skopje Fest competition.
During the song premiere, the Macedonian team announced that they will work with Ambra Succi, who will be the artistic director of Jana’s stage performance in Kyiv. Ambra has been featured in many television shows, and she worked as a choreographer for Loreen‘s Euphoria in 2012.
