Dance music powerhouse Galantis and superstar DJ David Guetta have joined forces once more to release ‘Lighter’, a track that we’re penning as an early competitor for the summer anthem of 2024.
Following joint collaborations with Little Mix and MNEK, this time Galantis and David have teamed up with multi-platinum pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, who add their own distinct flair to the dance track.
‘Lighter’ has been teased on social media for the past few weeks, with super-fans around the world receiving mysterious red dice and title-revealing candles in the post. However, the track was officially released today (March 1).
The track captures you instantly thanks to stirring strings. These lead into an infectious singalong chorus before the euphoric beat drops, the perfect combination. Paired with Luke Hemmings’ vocals, this dreamy track is a feel-good anthem which is ideal for taking us into the spring-summer months with ease.
Speaking about the track, Galantis’ Christian Karlsson said: “‘Lighter’ is a special song because the creative momentum between myself, David and 5SOS aligned so well – we let the collaboration flow into a piece of music that feels emotional and timeless.
“Michael (Clifford) is such a music lover very much like me, and working closely with him on producing the live elements like strings, guitar and drums was very inspiring. And it’s always great working with David, after the amazing response we had with ‘Heartbreak Anthem’ it’s exciting to be putting out another big record together.”
‘Lighter’ is the latest track from Galantis, following a mammoth 2023 which boasted a blockbuster collection of singles and collaborations, all leading towards their highly anticipated fourth album era.
