George Shelley has kicked off his debut solo project in style with the release of his first solo song ‘360’, and an accompanying music video, release this morning.
The song is the first from “Originals”, a unique musical project from the Singer Songwriter, which will see him release a new song and music video every Sunday between now and Christmas – 6 songs all together – all of which are performed, written and co-produced by George, who also directed and edited the music videos.
Shelly originally found fame as part of the boy-band Union J, before leaving the band earlier this year after a successful stint in “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here”, and later securing the sought after job of co-host on Capital FM London’s Breakfast Show, alongside Dave Berry and Lilah Parsons.
Despite leaving Union J, and rumours that followed (and were denied) that the rest of the band where no longer on speaking terms with George, the release of his first Solo song saw one of his ex-bandmates, JJ Hamblett, take to Twitter to praise him, calling George his “brother”. Praise also came from James McVey of The Vamps, who George toured with in his days in Union J.

The song – a well written uptempo number with a subtle rock vibe that we’ve yet to see from George Shelley- is available to stream or Download as of today, with another song from “Originals”, titled Soldier, to be released next Sunday. Shelley will perform the songs at his debut solo show, to which there are a few tickets still available here.
