Yes, you read that right. Well, sort of.
Unfortunately, we can’t promise you a visit to a local pub where you can meet Olly Murs and down a few pints at a discounted price for an hour… But we can promise that you can turn on your television and spend a whole hour with the superstar singer himself when his new show, “Happy Hour,” begins on channel giant ITV in the very near future.
That’s right… Olly Murs will soon be putting his microphone down in favour of a television prompter as ITV have just commissioned, “Happy Hour with Olly Murs,” to air later this year.
According to reports, the show will see the singer and, “The Voice UK,” coach head back to his roots in Essex to take over an entire pub where he will then host a jam-packed night of fun games, cheeky chat, and performances of his biggest and best-known hits.
But the former star of, “The X Factor,” won’t be alone as he’s bringing a few celebrity friends to good ol’ Essex with him. Bradley Walsh, who Olly has dubbed his ‘showbiz dad,’ will step inside along with Emma Willis who will be acting as the resident Karaoke Queen.
Fellow, “The Voice UK,” coach Sir. Tom Jones will also be dropping in on the fun, as well as Jennifer Hudson, who is rumoured to be performing a very special duet with the Murs man himself.
Following the announcement that the show had been given the green light, Olly said, “We know how to throw a proper party back in Essex so I’m looking forward to welcoming everybody into my world to join me and my family and friends for what will be a fun night for all. I can’t wait!”
Katie Rawcliffe who is the Creative Director at the ITV Studios added, “Olly is a firm favourite here at ITV. We’re so pleased to be producing this show that will be filled with music and laughter.”
News of, “Happy Hour with Olly Murs,” follows the release of the singer’s amazing sixth album, “You Know I Know,” which is set to drop tomorrow (9th November). The album will feature a mix of newer songs and some of Olly’s biggest hits. It will also include his most recently released single, “Moves,” which he teamed up with Snoop Dogg for.
