New York singer/songwriter, musician and creator Glassio has returned with “Will You Still Come Back Tomorrow?”. The release is a collaboration with Brooklyn based singer Rodes Rollins and British alt bedroom pop duo Mumble Tide.
“Will You Still Come Back Tomorrow?” is an episodic four track single that details the four stages of a long goodbye. From an anthemic promise, to a lonely yearning journal entry and ultimately moving on, the release is an emotional rollercoaster that envelopes the listener with every note. Glassio confides, “I wanted to come up with a 4-track single that could illustrate the 4 different stages of the process of ‘letting something/someone go.’ This wasn’t necessarily about a traditional break up, though it could be, I wanted it to be more of a bigger picture than that. I wanted it to feel like a public forum, open discussion of all these different voices sharing their stories about loss.” The song takes influence sonically from the likes of older Brit Pop acts as well as The Flaming Lips and Brian Wilson. With “Will You Still Come Back Tomorrow?”, Glassio creates a kaleidoscopic adventure of sound complete with elegant harmonies from Rodes Rollins and Mumble Tide. The track combines a myriad of genres including pop, rock, and folk for an intriguing and nostalgic leaning listen.
Glassio began releasing music in 2015. Since then, the musical project helmed by Irish-Persian musician Sam R, has racked up an impressive 13 million plus streams and charted #1 on multiple iTunes charts. “Will You Still Come Back Tomorrow?” follows the release of “A Friend Like You” with Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Beauty Queen.
