It looks like the fifth era of Little Mix could be beginning sooner than anticipated, if their recent Instagram video post is anything to go by.
The video of the four girls – Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – shows them in a car, with a track, seemingly taken from their upcoming fifth studio album, playing in the background. Fans have been left over-joyed by the short snippet, and have shared their excitement on social media.
From the short snippet of the track, it sounds extremely empowering, almost a cross between ‘Salute’ and ‘Power.’
‘I don’t need a man, I don’t want your cash, I put my own rock on my hand.’
The track also sounds different to previous tracks released by the band, inevitably representing a continued mature music sound from the four-piece, who are set to celebrate their upcoming anniversary as seven years as a band on August 19.
The ‘Glory Days’ era was a particularly special period of time in the band’s career, marking their first Number 1 album, their fourth UK Number 1 single, winning a BRIT Award, touring with Ariana Grande on the American leg of her ‘Dangerous Woman Tour’ and more. We can’t wait to see what this new era will bring!
‘Only You’ was the four-piece’s most recent release, a track which Little Mix collaborated on with Cheat Codes. The track had a catchy and upbeat rhythm throughout, making it the perfect track for the summer.
