Singer-songwriter Helen Connelly is one to watch. Inspired by the likes of Lana Del Rey and Florence & the Machine, her music is a unique combination of Soulful Pop, Jazz and Blues.
Helen has been following her dream full-time since performing at an open-mic night, where she witnessed the audience fall silent in awe. This incredible experience gave her the push she needed to start pursuing her goals. Since that night, she has been writing and singing professionally for three years and has a promising career ahead with the upcoming release of her latest EP, Garden Of Kisses, which is now available for pre-order. The EP is inspired by her musical journey, experiences, and relationships throughout the past few years. Following a successful performance at Smoke & Fire Music Festival, the new release is highly anticipated.
‘Garden of Kisses’ has had help along the way from some of the biggest names in music including Grammy Award Winning Producer and Mixing Engineer, Simon Gogerly, who won a Grammy working on U2’s ‘How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb’ album and also producer Ian Post, whose credentials between them include U2, Paloma Faith, Massive Attack and Alicia Keyes to list but a few. “I thought at first I’d just release a couple of new singles but the project got bigger as it went on! I hope that there will be many different people that can relate to the songs and find comfort in knowing that others have been through the same experiences.”
The EP is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication that Helen has put into her music. If this release is anything to go by, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Helen Connelly very soon!
