Keen to build on the runway success of his debut ‘you were there for me’ (which to date has amassed more than 38 million streams on Spotify alone!), Henry Moodie today (January 27th) drops his brand new single ‘drunk text’ – a heart-wrenching piano ballad that explores the isolating feelings, and emotions a person can feel when falling in love alone.
In a press statement accompanying the songs release, Moodie says of the introspective track: “‘drunk text’ is all about loving someone from afar and that torturous feeling of being in love with someone who it just wouldn’t work out with, it’ll always have to be a secret.”
“When I was writing the song, I really wanted to mirror my emotions; that excruciatingly confusing feeling of deleting the text that you are so close to sending, and then also, the feeling of what I’d wanted to say all along.”

Having singed to Sony Music’s Columbia Records and Robots & Humans in August 2022, 18-year-old Henry Moodie is fast earning quite the reputation in the world of pop, with his powerful vocals, captivating sound and gift for dynamic song writing striking a chord with millions of music lovers around the world.
Still riding high from his recent inclusion in Amazon Music’s Artists to Watch in 2023 (following in the footsteps of Billie Eilish and Griff), and ranking inside the Top 10 of the most viewed UK artists on TikTok, 2023 looks set to be Moodie’s year!
As well as continuing to work on new music, Henry will hit the road with Mimi Webb this spring, serving as the opening act on the ‘House of Fire’ singers European tour, before playing a string of headline shows in the UK throughout May.
