When honoring one of the greatest in music, one can only hope they measure up to who they are honoring.  This year at the Grammy’s the phenomenal Lionel Richie will be honored by the already accomplished mix of singers, Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainor, John Legend, and Luke Bryan.  Just the mention of their names ignites excitement for what will be a positively wonderful performance.

Every year, honoring the film industry and music industry lands between the months of January and March. And like every year, it’s a chance to see some of the most talked about celebrities come together for a night of celebrating their accomplishments. We can officially say Award season is in full swing.

With the Screen Actors Guild Awards last week on January 30, to the BAFTA Film Awards (British Academy of Film and Television) taking place this Valentine’s Day, and many award shows coming up this month as well as into March; it will be music’s turn to shine on the 15th of February.

What a large task to take on; being selected to honor the great Lionel Richie.  We think we’d find ourselves in a bundle of nerves personally.  With the already vocally brilliant vocal chops of Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan, and John Legend, we know we won’t be let down at this year’s musical extravaganza.

This year marks the Grammys 58th year in honoring music. A highlight of the Grammys is that it is a chance to see musicians perform together that you wouldn’t normally be able to catch together at just any concert. At this year’s awards, they will be combing the talents of Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan, and John Legend to honor Lionel Richie who will be recognized as the MusiCares Person of the Year.

John is a seasoned Grammys performer, but this year he will take the stage to help unite the music genres of pop, R&B, and country with Luke, Demi, and Meghan who will be gracing the Grammys stage for their first time.  With the strong vocals of Demi, soaring notes of Meghan, Luke’s country melodies, and soothing vocals of John, it is sure to be a vocally amazing performance. Tune in February 15 at 8p.m. on CBS for a performance you won’t want to miss.
