Meet Fatima Hajji: a dynamic force of nature born with electricity in her veins and a real punch. Her presence on stage or in the recording studio is an electrifying escape. With an innate talent for selecting club music and masterful mixing skills, she commands dance floors, particularly when the ‘magic button light’ ignites a symbiotic connection with the crowd. A young DJ, composer, and entrepreneur, Fatima runs her own label platform SILVER M, releasing favorite producers and hosting events in Ibiza, Amsterdam, and Barcelona. With roots in Spain and Arab origins, she blends classical and contemporary sounds with deep African rhythms. Fatima’s freshness, audacity, and ruthless grooves have crowned her a dance music scene leader for nearly two decades. From legendary clubs to global festivals, her explosive energy knows no bounds.
Welcome to CelebMix Fatima! For these of our readers who are not familiar with your music, could you introduce yourself?
Hola I’m Fatima Hajji, I like music, especially Techno/hardtechno and love to make people dance and be happy.
Brunch Electronik is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year with its first three-day festival. How does it feel to be a part of such a significant event in its history?
Gratitude, Brunch represents most of the good things of the electronic music scene that I love. They work for variety inclusion, spread a very good energy and even make a big effort with sustainability. Also I noticed they work to give back support to the communities and neighbourhoods that host their parties. Those who try to make the world a better place just deserve big respect.
You are part of an impressive lineup of artists at Brunch Electronik Festival. How does it feel to be included among some of the biggest names in the electronic music spectrum?
It is always nice to be at massive events, and it’s fun to meet old friends and to discover new people. Also the crowd is made up of people with different musical taste people but in the good mood, so those that maybe went for a different show could make nice new musical discovers
Can you tell us about your performance at Brunch Electronik Festival? What can the audience expect from your set?
Loads of energy focused on making the people enjoy themselves and have a good time. I like to combine hard bass with more melodic moments to let the audience breathe, smile and be ready for the nexts drops.
As someone with nearly two decades of experience in the dance music scene, how do you approach your performances at festivals compared to club gigs?
There is no big difference, maybe there are some tracks that I like to play at Festivals (such as Free from Desire) and some other gems :)
Brunch Electronik Festival offers a variety of activities and promotes inclusivity, respect, and compassion. How do you think these elements enhance the overall festival experience for both artists and attendees?
These elements lie at the heart of the essence of the rave. Having fun with different people, nothing else matters except for good vibes. I think we as humans are always seeking for the differences as an ancestral mechanism of defence, but as we are able to evolve and the times change, electronic music has helped to make people meet and celebrate life together. We are one and our differences must be celebrated. Good vibes, love and respect are paramount.
You have performed at numerous festivals and clubs around the world. How does the energy and atmosphere at Brunch Electronik Festival compare to other events you’ve been a part of?
Barcelona is a multicultural place, and Brunch reflects that combined with an idyllic party and a great atmosphere. It’s a party with a very strong personality and it’s easy to love it.
Your deep African origins and love for nature and animals are evident in your music. How do these influences shape your sound and performance style?
My roots are easily heard in my sets and productions as well. I use to introduce many vocals and I love tribal sounds. Nature connection is a thing that I think all of us have, but need to enforce it having contact with. When I’m not touring I like to be discovering natural places, seeing wildlife or spending time with my pack of 2 dogs and 2 cats.
How do you maintain freshness, audacity, and ruthless grooves in your music? What drives you to constantly push boundaries and deliver memorable performances?
Music was an escape when I was younger. The place where I can be whatever I want and also where I can express myself with total freedom. It’s deeper than anything in my life and I just do what I feel I have to do. So there is a passion pushing me to enjoy every minute of it and that’s just what I do. It makes me happy to be able to play my music all around the world, making people have a good time. I’m really lucky for that.
Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations as an artist? Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re excited about?
My inspiration is to keep enjoying and doing my thing forever as an artist. I can’t ask for more and I’m grateful to all the people who listen to my music and make this possible. My next project is my second album that will be released in the following weeks, probably after summer.
