ionnalee (otherwise known as Jonna Lee of iamamiwhoami) has given fans what they’ve been waiting for: a whole lot of announcements.
The Swedish mega-star has announced a North American tour, the release date for her sophomore album and a brand new video.
“Open Sea” is the lead single off of her upcoming album, Remember the Future, which is a “low fi sci-fi,” as described by ionnalee herself.

Along with the single, ionnalee has also shared that her second album will be released on May 31 via her label To whom it may concern. She is also the main producer of the album. You can pre-order it here.
To me, the album has a kinetic energy. I felt much more confident and free when producing it, both as an artist and a producer. It’s a hopeful visionary story of daring to dream, and shooting for the starts, despite the paradoxical underlying chafing dystopia that we are destroying our planet.
