ITV2’s Don’t Hate the Playaz is back for its second series after series one was met with spectacular feedback.

The hip-hop based show is made up of comedians, hip-hop legends and celebrity music lovers who battle it out to win points in rap, dance and freestyle battles in front of a live audience.

Of course the winning team gets the ultimate prize: bragging rights!

Jordan Stephens – better known as one half of British hip-hop duo, Rizzle Kicks – once again will host the show.

TV and radio presenter Maya Jama and rapper Lady Leshurr, will again lead the two teams alongside various guests each week.

Like series one, comedian London Hughes will be joining Maya on #TeamMaya along with some impressive guests.

Saskia Schuster, ITV’s Comedy Controller, says:

“Don’t Hate the Playaz put its unique spin on panel shows and the producers have some great ideas lined up for the second series.”

Series one consisted of six episodes and featured guests such as Ghetts, Tulisa, Yxng Bane, Not3s and so many more, making the brand-new series one to watch.

The highly popular TV show was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award in the Entertainment Category not long after the first series.

Throughout the first series, both teams invited random people from the audience to win points for either #TeamMaya or #TeamLeshurr.

In episode five, both teams had school teachers taking part in “Hip-Hop Heroes” which involved the men spitting bars to win points.

With the brand-new series set to be just as successful, we can only imagine what to expect.

The first episode of series two airs tonight at 10pm BST on ITV2, with guests including Roman Kemp, Katherine Ryan and the legendary Sugarhill Gang and the Furious 5.
