As much as we would love to hear a cover of the world-renowned song “Amazing Grace” by Jack Walton, this song is far from that version. It’s another original track from this star of The X Factor, and it acts as his debut single; what a way to start off your music career.
The song officially follows up his previous free track “Kept You Safe” which we completely adored. “Amazing Grace” takes Jack Walton down a whole different path, showcasing his versatility, and his ability to bring a jovial, happy track to everyone’s ears, whilst still digging deep within his emotions.
You may recognise his name, you may even recognise his face, but he is certainly older and more mature than he was a few years ago when he appeared as a contestant on the 11th series of The X Factor. He managed to make it to the live shows and even came in 11th place. Since then, he has been focusing on his singing career and we’re ecstatic to see that “Amazing Grace” is his debut single release – it has so been worth the wait.

This jovial pop tune is an instantly catchy track that you can’t help singing along to. Jack Walton impresses with some incredible vocal riffs and guitar playing. He sure knows how to deliver a song and we’re grinning with joy that we get to hear this track. It’s totally ear-pleasing.
Lyrically, it’s beautiful in every way; we hear about how Jack Walton is infatuated with a girl called Grace who he thinks is amazing and he just wants to give her the world and spend all his time with her. Only she isn’t his. It has such a great story behind it.
As for the music video, it really embodies the track into the visual, showing off Jack Walton’s personality. However, it does take some time for a sort-of narrative to kick in. That being said, as a whole, this video really works and does allow Jack Walton to show himself off as a musician, first and foremost as he plays various instruments – reminding us of Hunter Hayes’ “Storm Warning”.
