Scotland’s latest export Jamie Martin has officially released his latest single titled ‘What’s The Use‘. His latest offering is a indie-blues soulful track. The new single proves once again how multi-talented Jamie is and how much he enjoys dabbling in many different genres.
The blues infused ‘What’s The Use’ consists of yearning vocals from Martin and includes a epic guitar-driven soundscape.
The young singer/songwriter and producer from Glasgow manages to effortlessly fuse indie, and soul with modern rock. The latest single from Jamie Martin has clearly been influenced by the likes of John Mayer, Ben Howard, and John Martyn.
Speaking about his latest single ‘What’s The Use’, Jame says: “I originally wrote this song about being divided from someone at the end of a failing relationship, but it since took on a more generalised meaning – that basing your views and definitions of right and wrong without a contrasting viewpoint splits us all into our own little self-curated social circles. Sonically, I wanted the song to follow the bleak sentiment of the lyrics with distortion on just about everything.”
