A couple weeks ago American pop singer/songwriter JORDY unknowingly posted the rough workings of a track called ‘Long Distance’ on TikTok.
Shortly afterwards, TikTok did its TikTok thing and the singer’s sound had gone viral across the world.
A bubbling pop ditty in which JORDY muses over making a long distance relationship work, the TikTok video now has over a million streams.
As word spread and new fans came flocking in, the singer set the gears in motion to finish up and record the song.
This week it hits streaming services as the pop star’s latest single.
It follows 2021 EP I Just Wanna Be Loved and 2020’s Psycho from an artist who has drawn comparisons with Troye Sivan.
Not stopping there, JORDY also found the time to shoot an official music video for ‘Long Distance’.
The clip sees JORDY with his head in the clouds and has already been watched by nearly 8,000 viewers.
The track’s success continues to snowball, with its viral success seeing it enter the iTunes chart.
‘Long Distance’ is streaming on all platforms now.
