Justin Bieber: From Bad Boy to the World’s Boy

It’s not unknown that Justin Bieber has had a rocky past; from the reports of him egging his neighbours house, to being arrested for DIU. 2015 has seen the popstar go from being one of the most disliked artists in the industry, to having the whole world coverted to ‘Beliebers’.

The Old Justin Bieber

2014 saw Justin Bieber hit an all time low. He revealed in an exclusive interview with NME that he felt like “I’m struggling just to get through the days” and how badly the fame can get to the person involved. Justin admitted that he felt depressed and told NME that “No one knew what I was feeling. I was rebelling against something deeper, and it took me a minute to realise I’m not gonna let them win.”

During 2014, Justin had plenty of well documented run-ins with the police. After being arrested for drag-racing, causing an estimated $80,000 worth of damage from egging a neighbours house and crashing a vehicle into a mini-van, it seemed that Justin’s career may have been damaged for good.

How Justin Reinvented Himself

2015 saw Bieber say ‘sorry’ for his past behaviour. From apologizing on The Ellen Degeneres Show, to being roasted by some of the biggest American comedians, Justin showed a maturity that hadn’t been seen in the 22 year old pop star before.

It was not only Justin Bieber as a person that recieved a reinvention this year, but his music. After featuring on one of the biggest EDM songs of the year ‘Where R U Now,’ August saw Justin drop his career changing single ‘What Do You Mean?’. This became his first ever single to top the Billboard Top 100, and first UK Number 1. His album Purpose has also gone platinum in the US in under a month!
