The wait is over KatyCats! Katy Perry just released her new single. Rumors have been swirling that Perry would be debuting a new single soon, but no one expected it to be this soon and out of the blue.

The song called “Rise” debuts a new darker, more electronic sound but keeping with her theme empowerment. The cover art of the new song shows the ever gorgeous Perry “rising” from water. This song will be the first song off her new album, rumored to be released early 2017. No name has been announced of the album and Katy has been very tight lipped as to any details surrounding it. She originally stated that nothing would be out until 2018.
