Katy Perry has treated her beloved KatyCats to an early Christmas present, by dropping the music video for ‘Hey Hey Hey’.
Directed by Isaac Rentz, the visual sees Katy play a Marie Antoinette inspired character. Despite holding a royal position, it’s clear to see that the lifestyle doesn’t interest Katy. Whilst breaking the stereotypical mold, Katy daydreams of life as a sword-wielding Joan of Arc.
Later on in the visual, Katy goes on a disastrous date with Prince Piggy, which leads to our heroine getting into a rather unfortunate situation. Does Katy get the last laugh? You’ll have to watch to find out! The visual is both humorous and fierce in equal measures, whilst emphasising the song’s message. Women have a wide range of personality traits, and can be feminine yet strong at the same time.

‘Hey Hey Hey’ is the latest offering from Katy’s album, Witness. The track follows on from ‘Swish Swish’, ‘Bon Appetit’, and ‘Chained To The Rhythm’.
Katy is currently bringing the 2017 leg of her Witness World Tour to a close. Taking to Instagram, she reflected on “a year that has redefined what winning means to me”. Katy said: “The definition of winning for me this year was simply happiness and gratitude. This year has made me more appreciative than ever for my listeners, my KatyCats – whether you’ve been with me since “I Kissed A Girl” or if you only started to “Swish Swish” with me. I’m humbled that you still give me your nights out to connect with you live all over the world and remind me of the place in your hearts that you hold for all these songs.
“After a year of peaks and valleys (remember, it’s all a journey), I wanted to end 2017 with a fun, triumphant piece of pop candy. Just think of it as a glam little stocking stuffer from me to you. “Hey Hey Hey” is one of my favorite songs from “Witness” and for me, it embodies the fighting spirit I always want you to be able to find within yourself, and to see in me.”
Katy’s Witness World Tour will continue in 2018 with shows in North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
