After releasing a mesmerising cover of Jimin’s “Serendipity”, Kostov is back with a stunning original. On 27th July, Bulgarian-Russian singer Kristian Kostov released an official audio for his new single “Get It”.
Compared to the tracks released by Kostov till now, “Get It” is different both in terms of sound and lyrics. Accompanied with a motion graphic where Kostov is drenched in yellow, a color that symbolises depression and anger, the song talks about one’s yearning for “true” love and friendship.
Comparing himself to a chronic out-of-stater, Kostov emphasizes on the pain of being surrounded amongst wrong company of people. “Get It” as a phrase brings forth the writer’s frustration in people who tell others how they should live their lives and not “waste away”.
The R&B sound acts as a beautiful backdrop to this melancholic track and immediately gives one “The Weeknd” vibes. Listen to the track below:
