Lady Gaga creates ripples of excitement on planet pop this week with the unveiling of her storming new single ‘DISEASE’.
Serving as the lead track to be released from the 13-time GRAMMY winners forthcoming studio album (affectionately dubbed ‘LG7’) which due out in the Spring of 2025, the sonically diverse sounding track sees Gaga lean into some of the same musical stylings that first made her a star, marrying elements of pop, rock, dance, and rage, whilst singing about love’s potential to cure and heal a lover’s “tortured” disease.
The arrival of single comes hot on the heels of Gaga’s smash hit duet with Bruno Mars ‘Die With a Smile’ – which has topped the Billboard Global 200 chart for eight consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running #1 this year.
The song has amassed 1.06 billion all time global streams across DSPs since its release, and is currently the #3 most-listened-to artist in the world on Spotify.
‘LG7’ will follow the release of ‘Harlequin’, a concept album that serves as a companion piece to the film Joker: Folie à Deux. Other Gaga projects include her collaboration with The Rolling Stones on ‘Sweet Sounds of Heaven’ and the concert film GAGA: CHROMATICA BALL, both of which earned critical acclaim upon release.
