Lennon Stella is one of the most exciting vocal talents of our generation and since the hit US drama Nashville came to an end after six seasons, the 19-year-old Canadian has launched her solo career with spellbinding singles ‘Everybody Else’, ‘Bad’ and most recently ‘Breakaway’. Stella is also featured on the worldwide smash-hit ‘Polaroid’ alongside Liam Payne and Jonas Blue.
Stella’s latest release ‘Breakaway’ is a hauntingly beautiful track which lyrically is mature beyond the teenager’s tender age and was written during a turbelunet time in the singer’s life when her parents were seperating and Lennon was going through a difficult time struggling with mental health issues.
Speaking about the track, Lennon says: “‘Breakaway’ was made in the trees of Nicaragua and embodies exactly how I was feeling in that moment, which makes this song so special to me. I hope it resonates with you.”
Along with releasing new music and gearing up for the release of her eagerly anticipated debut album, Lennon Stella has also put together a mini US tour. The dates went on sale last week and sold out in seconds proving the super talented star’s rising stock.
Now, Stella has shared the beautiful lyric video for ‘Breakaway’. The stunning, stripped back black and white clip sees the teenager sitting at the window as the poignant lyrics scroll across the screen and it has already been viewed more than 17,000 times in less than 24 hours.
