Superstar and American Idol judge Lionel Ritchie recently sat down with Ross King for an interview for ITV, where he reflected on his career, family and…selfies!
Yeah, that was probably right after, let’s say the Olympics, right after my father was ill and I went through, I won’t say a depression, but a massive depression. You know, my dad was my hero so I went through that whole period in my life and then it was something about the birth of my kid. Miles came along and Nicole was already there and I realized I had a group of people that were looking up to me to be the head of the house. So I figured at that particular point let’s go back to prove to the kids what I do. So that was the incentive and of course, I got back into it and realized this is what I should be doing, this is what I love doing.
The interview comes ahead of Lionel’s huge summer UK tour that kicks off in June 2018, bringing his biggest hits to outdoor venues and stadiums. The international superstar will visit iconic venues in Northampton, Perth, London, Lincoln, Shrewsbury, Leigh, Carlisle, Scarborough, Chesterfield, Hove and North Norfolk, Shane Filan has also been announced as his support act for the tour.
