Mary Hopkin and her daughter Jessica Lee Morgan have released a brand new album and single.
‘Two Hearts’, the album, features a mix of newly-written material including ‘You’ve Got Everything’ and covers from Mark Knopfler and The Bangles.
Hopkin is best known for her UK number 1 hit ‘Those Were The Days’.
In 1970 Mary took part in the ‘Eurovision Song Competition’ with ‘Knock Know Who’s There’. She came second and lost out to Ireland, with 32 votes to Dana’s ‘All Kinds Of Everything’. Further hits included ‘Goodbye’, and ‘Think About Your Children’.
Hopkin was discovered on X Factor-style talent competition ‘Opportunity Knocks’ in which Twiggy spotted Mary and recommended her to none other than Sir Paul McCartney. She was then signed to Apple Records, by The Beatles, one of the first artists to do so.
Mary has continued to release new music over the years, with albums on label Mary Hopkin Music including ‘Painting By Numbers’, ‘Valentine’, and ‘Another Road’ to name a few.

She has also collaborated with her son Morgan Visconti on their album ‘You Look Familiar’.
On ‘Two Hearts’, it is another family project, with duets from Mary’s very talented daughter Jessica Lee Morgan. Jess has written various tracks for the album, plays the instruments, and works as the label manager.
Jessica has released various solo albums and has spent the past few years touring around the UK, supporting ‘The Blow Monkeys’ and Steve Norman of Spandau Ballet. She regularly performs in a show called ‘Those Were The Days’, a tribute to female singers from 1968-1976.
Mary has also written tracks and played instruments, with her son Morgan and engineer Christian Thomas providing some extra help.
The album is available on CD online and via digital download on Bandcamp.
Digital release on streaming and download everywhere on 2nd June 2023.
