Today is Halloween, so it’s no surprise to see some scary songs and music videos being released. Yesterday, Loïc Nottet released his brand new single “Doctor”. Not only that, but he dropped one scary and freaky music video to accompany the track.
He represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, with “Rhythm Inside”. He came fourth overall, with a total of 217 points. Funnily enough, Laura Tesoro – who represented Belgium the following year – has also released a new single this week, titled “Beast”.
Loïc Nottet may not have won Eurovision but he did win the sixth season of Danse avec les stars – the French version of Dancing With The Stars / Strictly Come Dancing. One year later, he released his absolutely incredible debut album, titled “Selfocracy”. If you haven’t heard it yet, we cannot recommend it enough. We urge you to check out our track-by-track review of the album.
Now, Loïc Nottet has dropped new music. “Doctor” is his special Halloween song, and will certainly become another track to add to our scary playlists. It was written by Amy Morrey, and released on Sony Music Entertainment France. As for the music video, it was directed by Leander Hanssen Jr.

If the thumbnail of the video doesn’t scare you enough; then we’re sure the full visual will freak you out. This is a whole new side of Loïc Nottet that we haven’t seen before and we’re not sure if we like it or not. Definitely going to have some scary dreams this Halloween.
Loïc Nottet brings it when it comes to the song. “Doctor” continues his musical direction that he took for his debut album. It’s unique and totally identifiable as him; no one else is doing what Loïc Nottet is doing right now in music, and that’s what makes it pure gold. It’s a beaty track with some great vocal twist from this amazing male vocalist.
As for the music video, Loïc Nottet certainly is acting crazily. His character certainly is messed up; taking candy from kids, frightening an old couple, playing pranks on people, and showing a split personality with who we presume is his love interest. As Halloween music videos go, this certainly is wild. More tricks than treats that’s for sure.
“Doctor” is available to download and stream right now. The song and video has already had a massive reaction online, so we can certainly see this being another hit for Loïc Nottet.
