Thinking back to all the recent winners of the Eurovision Song Contest, Loreen always remains on top as one of the most memorable and talked about winners. Her performance of “Euphoria” is something we can never forget, and the song continues to be a force to be reckoned with. She has been releasing new music recently, and “Jungle” dropped on Friday, in collaboration with Elliphant.
She released her first album in 2012 following her Eurovision win, titled “Heal”. It’s been quite the wait for new music, we’ve had some non-album singles in the previous years, but it’s been slow and steady. She then returned to Melodifestivalen in 2017 with “Statements”, unfortunately she didn’t make the final and therefore didn’t represent Sweden at Eurovision 2017. Regardless this was the start of new music from her.
In July, she dropped “Body” and an announcement that new music was coming our way. We now know that we’ll be getting an EP release on 25 August 2017, titled “Nude”; which will then be followed by a full album in November – we are so ready!
Don’t expect a “Euphoria” track with this collaboration. “Jungle” is something new with Loreen taking on a much more experimental sound, which we’ve come to expect from her within the last couple of years. She’s taking her music to the next level and we cannot wait for the outcome.
Listen To Loreen X Elliphant’s “Jungle” Here:
The song reminds us of Miley Cyrus “Bangerz” era; and, if this has been her recent route, we expect her other songs will match this sound. Now that thought has excited us for November when she drops her full LP.
Loreen impresses with an intricate diversity of vocality that just proves how stunning her voice truly is. The track becomes conflicting in the best way imaginable as Swedish rapper Elliphant joins in.
“Jungle” is definitely a track we can’t stop listening to, and Loreen is completely impressing with her latest songs. Previous single, “Body” is totally something you need to listen to. Be prepared for her to drop “Nude”, the EP, at the end of August, as well as her brand new album in November.
