Two of Us is an emotional but uplifting pop ballad. It speaks candidly of the grief of losing a loved one but moving on with your life and making them proud because you know that’s what they would want.
The track which is an emotional masterpiece, honing in on Louis’s unique ability to not only write emotively but to project it through the vocals, speaks to anyone who has lost a loved one with highly relatable sentiments that many listening to the song will have felt themselves.
‘Two of Us’ is so deeply personal, It’s Louis response to the death of his mother, Johannah from leukaemia in December 2016, he says it’s ultimately supposed to be a hopeful song. That he hopes will help others going through what he has.
