Manchester United Sign Paul Pogba

Jose Mourinho has finally got his man. After months of speculation and talks with agents Manchester United have finally re-signed Paul Pogba for a world record fee of £89m.

The 23-year-old midfielder was sold by the club back in 2012 by then manager Sir Alex Ferguson on a free transfer to Juventus, but new manager Mourinho believes he is the best midfield player in the world and was willing to pay big money to bring the player back to Old Trafford.

The £89m payed by Man United to Juventus is a new world record and beats the previous record of £85.3m that Real Madrid payed Tottenham Hotspurs for Gareth Bale. The fee for Pogba is expected to rise to over £100m when agent fees and wages are brought into account.

During his time at Juventus the the France international won four Serie A titles,Two Coppa Itallia cups and was a Champions League runner up in the 2014-15 season.

Paul Pogba who has signed a five-year contract will wear the number 6 shirt at Old Trafford and will become their highest payed player.

Paul Pogba has taken to Twitter to thank Juventus for his time there, saying: “Thanks @juventusfc and all Juventini. Goodbye means nothing, it is the time we spent together that matters” (sic)
