Released today is the new single from rising rapper, Marc Andre who mixes his hip-hop sound with soul and jazz to create the awesome and powerful “Nation Noir”. This follows up the album from which this single is taken from, titled “Undocumented”.

Marc Andre is a New York City rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. Hailing from Paris, France, he originally started rapping in French before switching to English and at the young age of 15 he started to learn how to make beats. Together, it allowed him to pursue his dream of making music his work. He lists a variety of worldwide artists as his influences, which explains his versatile music and the art he manages to create with it. His most-streamed song on Spotify, to date, is “Chuia” which features Low Lov. His ability to effectively blend musical styles and genres certainly puts him in a good position of gaining recognition with his future releases.

Written by Marc Andre, “Nation Noir” is an empowering track with lyrics about injustice and various issues that many people face but mainly those from marginalised communities. Delivering a powerful message throughout, with introspective lyrics as well as conscious spoken word that switches up the entire vibe, Marc Andre showcases his ability to use the world around him and make a statement with this track, alone. The melody is gentle as it mixes effortlessly with the hip-hop vocals and the flow of the track. This isn’t the only standout track on his album “Undocumented”, with plenty of others proving how much of a versatile artist he is and how he can convey different meaningful messages across tracks, vibes, and musical energy.
