He started off his career as an MC in the streets of the UK capital, as well as learning how to make music by writing lyrics and rhymes then laying down tracks and beats on software such as Audacity. This has totally paid off, he dropped his debut single in 2016, titled “Hurricane Freestyle”, and practically built from there, going on to release two LPs and a string of singles and EPs. His most-streamed track across all platforms is “True Colour”, which has gained over 2 million streams, to date, with 1.7 million on Spotify, alone. With the ability to reach many listeners around the world with his iconic flow and unforgettable sound, Marcello Spooks is a name we’re all be aware of in no time.
Talking about the EP, Marcello Spooks said: “‘Endless Drive: A Love Story’ is a metaphor for the nature of a turbulent romantic relationship and the perseverance required to be happy and successful in music and life. The first single, ‘TRAFFIC’, is about finding patience while standing behind someone else in the queue for your love, but you don’t mind because it is worth the wait. The same sentiment stands when you are on the road to success. The second single, ‘ENDLESS DRIVE’, is a meta depiction of how it feels to be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t know how to drive, takes the wrong turns, gets you lost, doesn’t focus on the road ahead and always makes a beeline for complications.”
