Matt DeFreitas has finally released his debut single Chasing Shadows! After five years of covering songs on YouTube, hitting 150,000 subscribers and performing at Wembley Stadium with his band Cahoots – it’s finally happening!
Earlier this month, Matt announced to his 15,000 Twitter followers that the song was available for pre-order and would be released with an accompanying acoustic version – he’s just that nice to his fans. We were treated to the live acoustic version this week on Matt’s YouTube channel and we were just big balls of emotion finally seeing Matt get the recognition he deserves!

We’ve now heard Chasing Shadows in its full glory and we’re going to be honest with you guys…it’s blooming amazing! It’s got passion, a fab guitar beat, lyrics that flow so nicely and definitely shows off Matt’s vocal abilities. Long story short: we love it! With summer coming up, it would be great on a playlist for chilling out with your friends around a campfire or just for a cosy night in!
