Sampling Stevie Nicks’ ‘Edge of Seventeen’, ‘Midnight Sky’ is an unapologetic anthem of independence which sees Miley reflect on past relationships. Despite the media’s constant interest in her love life, the track highlights that Miley a free spirit who is happy by herself. Laced with an irresistible grungy disco-pop vibe and Miley’s raspy rock vocals, ‘Midnight Sky’ is a true evolution of the singer-songwriter’s sound and we are 100% here for it.

‘Midnight Sky’ comes with a self-directed visual which sees Miley take full creative control. Sporting a number of eye-catching looks, she performs the track in a number of unique rooms include a hall of mirrors, a ball pit style room, and a glittery discotheque with colourful animal statues.
‘Midnight Sky’ is Miley’s first release of 2020, and follows on from her 2019 single ‘Slide Away’. The global superstar previously released an EP called She Is Coming, which was due to be one of three EPs to make up Miley’s seventh studio album.
As an artist who has continually reinvented herself over the years, ‘Midnight Sky’ marks another exciting chapter in the world of Miley Cyrus.
