Misunderstood Releases Music Video For New Single “Juicy Fruit”

Rewind to the Friday before last and you’ll know that Misunderstood dropped a new single since being eliminated from The X Factor, titled “Juicy Fruit“, which we had the honour of premiering. Now, after just a few days, this awesome duo have dropped the official music video to the track and it’s a thirst trap, for real!

Misunderstood are a duo consisting of Stephan Benson and Jeffrey Okyere-Twumasi. They are best known for being contestants on the 15th series of The X Factor where they made it to the live shows, being mentored by Robbie Williams. They came tenth overall, but that doesn’t mean a thing as there is definitely a market for them in the music industry. Their new single “Juicy Fruit” has already gained thousands of Spotify streams, and this music video is certainly going to gain attraction, at the very least.

The brand new music video has been directed by Misunderstood, themselves, whilst Yoni Cohen & Nahwand acted as directors of photography. The filming took place in a club and has a tonne of choreography – just as we were hoping for. Both Stephan Benson and Jeffrey Okyere-Twumasi show off who they are as a duo within this visual clip from start to finish.

It relates to the song since the song itself is thirsty, to say the least, so we’re not surprised at the sexual connotations running throughout and it works perfectly. Stephan Benson is topless throughout most of it, covering up with a jacket here and there – which is not much of a surprise if you’ve seen them live; whilst Jeffrey Okyere-Twumasi plays up to the camera and the women in the room. The dancers and the extras all do a fantastic job and really makes this music video polished. We give kudos for there being an LGBTQ+ scene between the male topless barman and the guy he is serving. This is one solid – and juicy – music video for the addictingly catchy track “Juicy Fruit” which was also the song they sang during their audition on The X Factor.

This music video is truly unforgettable. This duo are prepared to make it and we believe they have a great career ahead of them. Sexy, fun, amusing, occasionally comical, with a slight narrative, Misunderstood’s music video for “Juicy Fruit” is flawless from start to finish.
