Following the launch of Music+Cities Documentary’s pilot episode last week, Mali-Koa Hood and Tom Payne, along with SHUFFL and BENCH, reveal the next stop on their journey in discovering music cities in Europe.
In last week’s launch, the pair released the first episode for the documentary, in which they visited Manchester to venture its streets for the rich history in music that the wonderful city beholds.
As for the second episode, they visited the “city of lights” Paris, France!
In the video, Mali and Tom got to talk to local artists Cecile “Pumpkin” Unia & Gaelino “Lino” M’Bani to discuss about the revolution and beginning of French Hip Hop genre.

Also featured in the series is a venue in Les Halles where a centre named “La Place” is being built for hip hop artists across Paris, and eventually France.
Director of the centre, Jean-Marc Mougeot, said that the canopy will serve as a place where young talents, amateur hip hop artists and local artists can celebrate the culture of French Hip Hop. It will eventually build the foundations of the future Parisian hip hop genre.
