We’ve been anticipating details about Nathan Sykes’ debut album for what feels like forever, however, the wait is finally over as Nathan has confirmed the name and release date of his album!
During his special show for #GetSyked winners in New York last night, Nathan confirmed that his debut album will be called…
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
He also revealed that the album would be released worldwide on November 4! It will be available to pre-order on August 12.

The name of the album is significant as Nathan was so young when The Wanted went on their hiatus, he felt that he had so much more to give in terms of music. He wanted to challenge and push himself, and couldn’t stop doing what he loved at the age of 20/21.
He told fans: “I always tell people do not let anything or anyone get in the way of what you dream of doing. This is what I dream of doing, performing in front of you guys all the time,” which is why the album is called Unfinished Business!

The name of the album has been shrouded in mystery ever since Nathan first announced his solo career, however, it turns out that he’s been dropping hints all along!
Clever fans have spotted that the album name appears in the music video for ‘Over And Over Again’, as the film being shown in the theatre is called ‘Unfinished Business’.

Nathan confirmed that he’d also dropped another hint which was a bit less obvious. Detectives amongst the fanbase found the first potential reference to the album name goes back to 2014, when Nathan said he had ‘unfinished business’ in The Wanted’s Word of Mouth tour programme!

In an interview with Billboard back in February, Nathan laughed about how “The album’s been finished twice — and then unfinished”, and we’re totally taking this as yet another subtle yet sneaky reference to the name!
We’re already counting down the days until we can finally hear Unfinished Business. The next steps for Nathan will be to reveal the album artwork and track listing – we’re so ready!
