The actor has now shared the new second trailer for Deadpool 2 which sees Wade Wilson/Deadpool come face-to-face with the formidable mutant Cable (Josh Brolin).
But, this trailer isn’t your average villain-takes-on-superhero kind of thing… no, it is filled with Marvel Easter eggs and sly digs at DC’s Justice League CGI fiasco with Henry Cavill’s moustache using Cable’s missing robot arm.
In true Deadpool-fourth wall breaking fashion, this mistake leads to Deadpool himself to recreate a showdown between Wade and Cable in the style of a Toy Story film.
It even has the hilarious synopsis below the video, thanks to 20th Century Fox:
“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”
Check out the trailer below:
Cable has been featured alongside Deadpool before in a separate comic series, Cable & Deadpool. But Josh Brolin is now taking on the time-travelling robotic mutant soldier.
However, it does not look like Deadpool will have an easy time trying to take down Cable as Brolin has signed on to play the character for at least three more films, one of which will be a future X-Force movie.

The actor has already stepped into the Marvel universe as he has been playing the intimidating Thanos who we’ve seen a glimpses of since the first Avengers film. You can also see Brolin take on the Avengers in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War trailer.

Deadpool even references Brolin’s Thanos in this new trailer which has been spotted by eagle-eyed fans. When Deadpool is fighting Cable, Toy Story style, he says: “Zip it, Cable! I’ve got the stones to help you.” before attacking him.
The ‘stones’ are a reference to Thanos and the way he has gotten others such as Loki, The Collector and Dark Elf Malekith to gather up the Infinity Stones which has been documented through the last few Marvel films.
Deadpool 2 comes to cinemas May 18th. Are you excited to see it? Let us know @CelebMix!
