Christmas is creeping closer, with us official in the month of festive fun. CelebMix favourites New Hope Club have given fans an early present in the form of original Christmas track ‘Whoever He Is (Christmas Song)’ complete with a studio video alongside it.
Rewind a few days, New Hope Club were doing what they do best… teasing fans on Twitter about a Christmas surprise. Now many anticipated it to be a cover of a Christmas classic as many artists do this year after year. But New Hope Club did this last year with their Santa Claus is Coming To Town cover so have changed it up and gone one better by creating their own Christmas inspired track.
Whoever He Is features an infectious guitar line with a festive jingle undertone showing all the makings of a great Christmas track. Singing of wanting to be with that special person during Christmas but hoping that they’re happy with him ‘whoever he is’. The trio all possess strong voices which work in unison to make a truly delightful track complete with some group vocals for good festive measure. You’ll struggle to get the infectious tune out your head, we found ourselves humming along to it after listening.
The studio-based video features the recording of the track with an appearance from The Vamps Brad Simpson who helped with the production and also co-wrote Whoever He Is (Christmas Song). Showing them having a great time whilst also working hard, the video shows off the loveable, fun side to New Hope Club fans have grown to love them for.
