Welcome to the last New Music Round Up for the month of September! Whilst the month is coming to an end, our favourite stars are still busy treating us to bundles of new music.

We were also treated to new music from fellow vocal powerhouses Gwen Stefani and Emeli Sande, whilst Demi Lovato shared another track from her forthcoming album. Additionally, new songs came from Nikki Ambers, Linda Bella, Manel Navarro and JOWST, and Nora En Pure.
As usual, we’re keen to share even more new music with you, so we’ve rounded up a further 13 releases for your enjoyment.
Anne-Marie – ‘Heavy’
‘Heavy’ is the latest track from singing sensation Anne-Marie. Following on from the success of her previous solo single, ‘Ciao Adios’, ‘Heavy’ continues to showcase Anne-Marie’s brilliant talent. Whilst the track carries a similar tropical vibe, it’s a lot more focused on the singer’s powerful vocal. We can’t get enough of Anne-Marie, and ‘Heavy’ has got us counting down to her debut album! Check out the lyric video for ‘Heavy’ below.
Miley Cyrus – ‘Week Without You’
‘Week Without You’ is the latest instant grat track from Miley Cyrus’ forthcoming album, Younger Now. The track is a country break up song which truly cements the kind of sound we can expect from Miley’s next body of work. Speaking about the album, Miley said, “This writing process has been a really different experience because I’ve never put out an album this way. People have been asking me, ‘is this like a re-introduction of yourself?’ But it’s not that at all. Actually, it’s more like, I am this person who embraces all my past selves. This album is the most me for right now that I can be.”
DJ Snake – ‘A Different Way’
Grammy-nominated French DJ and producer DJ Snake is back with his new single, ‘A Different Way’. Written by DJ Snake, Ed Sheeran, Steve Mac, Lindy Robbins, Ilsey Juber and Johnny McDaid, the track features Lauv and received its premiere on Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1. During his recent history-making performance atop the Arc De Triomphe, where DJ Snake was the first performing artist to be given permission to perform on the monument, he also announced his first French arena show. It will take place at AccorHotels Arena, Paris on February 24.
Deva Mahal – ‘Run Deep’
‘Run Deep’ is the new single from Deva Mahal, taken from her forthcoming self-titled EP. The track, which features Coco Peila, has a gorgeous RnB/blues vibe, making it irresistible to the ear. Speaking about the track, she Deva said: “I left the possibility of a completely different life to follow my dream of moving to New York. Writing this track was like using words and sounds as chain mail to protect my heart and fortify my will to find my place in this world as an artist. This track is my love letter to music. Music and artists from the U.K. have always struck a chord with me, and I have been especially inspired by some of the new artists that have been breaking through over the last few years, such as Sampha, Laura Mvula, Michael Kiwanuka, Benjamin Clementine, Sam Henshaw and Lianne La Havas.”
Maggie Szabo – ‘Don’t Give Up’
‘Don’t Give Up’ is the first single from Maggie Szabo’s upcoming EP, Worthy. Written and recorded in Los Angeles along with Stefan Lit and Chaz Mason, ‘Don’t Give Up’ is a beautifully authentic and heartfelt song dedicated to transgender youth around the world who live in fear and suffer from rejection and exclusion. The track showcases an emotional rawness rarely found in music today, whilst addressing a subject which is imperative within today’s society. Speaking about the song’s empowering message and the need to fight for social justice and equality, Maggie said: “People are people, love is love. Society needs to stand up. I can’t stand by and watch millions of transgender youth live in fear for their safety, outcast from their homes and marginalized by society simply because they are struggling to understand their gender identity. I want to stand with them.”
Restless Modern – ‘No Expectations’
We’ve previously featured Restless Modern in our new music round up, after he dropped his debut single with MOONZz earlier this year. Now teaming up with OnCue, Restless Modern is back with a slick new song called ‘No Expectations’. We’re already hooked on the RnB/dance vibe, and we’re sure you will be too. Look out for the lyric video dropping today!
ROE – ‘Playground Fights’
Multi-instrumentalist ROE is making a statement with her new single, ‘Playground Fights’. Carving her own lane as electronic pop’s newest frontrunner, ROE displays her vulnerability through her voice and lyrics. Speaking about the track she said: “‘Playground Fights’ is about growing up and people starting to take things way too seriously. I had this image of someone having a fight with the more sensible, grown-up version of themselves when I was writing it and it’s all about the frustration of getting older and having to deal with that eventual point of responsibility.”
Dan Owen – ‘Hideaway’
Dan Owen is back with the soulful ‘Hideaway’. The track, which showcases his jaw-dropping vocals, may be familiar to you as it currently forms the soundtrack for the Boots No.7 televised and online advert. If you fancy seeing Dan live, he will be going on a 16-date headline UK and European tour from next month. Dates include a hometown gig at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn on November 14.
Olivia Holt – ‘Generous’
‘Generous’ is the latest single from Hollywood Records artist Olivia Hold. Written by Fran Hall, Mozella and Gladius, the playful track channels a Selena Gomez vibe and is both infectious and playful. The accompanying music video has also been released, which was filmed at the historic Le Pavilon Hotel, New Orleans. Directed by Chris Applebaum, the video sees Olivia borrow a maid’s uniform and follows her on a crazy adventure around the hotel.
YOUNGR – ‘What’s Next’
‘What’s Next’ is the latest offering from electro-pop artist Youngr. Produced by Youngr himself, he was joined by Asia Whiteacre on songwriting duties. Speaking about the track, he said: “I wrote this song with an amazing songwriter called Asia Whiteacre, we met for this first time the day we wrote this tune. We were both experiencing our first taste of success after writing and grafting for so long, yet we were both annoyed about the same thing… people kept asking us what was next, and what we were going to do after this and after that… and all we wanted to do was enjoy the moment. I think this kind of feeling only happens once or twice in a lifetime, and I am so glad I got to capture it in 3 minutes of music.”
Sam Calver – ‘Addicted’
‘Addicted’ is the newest single from singer-songwriter Sam Calver, which follows on from the release of his debut single ‘Midnight’. True to the song’s title, the single mixes Sam’s infectious and soulful vocal prowess with poignant lyricism and mesmerising melodies to create an incredibly addictive track his rapidly growing legion of fans will not be able to take off repeat. We can expect more new music from Sam in the coming weeks so keep a look out!
Tiggs Da Author – ‘Work It Out’
Tiggs Da Author is back with another infectious track, in the form of ‘Work it Out’. Combining Tiggs’ unique sound with the beat of Caesars’ classic ‘Jerk It Out’, the track is a genre-bending offering which showcases Tiggs’ talent. The track derived from the support of Tiggs’ cover of the original during his energetic live shows. After receiving a phenomenal reaction from his fans, he flew to Sweden to re-work the song with Jocke Ahlund from Caesars.
Nathan Goshen – ‘Home’
‘Home’ is the new single from Nathan Goshen, which follows on from the KVR remix of his track ‘Thinking About It (Let It Go)’.
