As an active member of One Direction, Niall Horan has consistently put forth the use of his fame towards the greater good. As being the holder of countless events to help raise money for a widespread of charities, the singer continued being the light to make darkness disappear and spent an entire day bowling with young cancer patients.
Since all of the lads of 1D have been on hiatus, it has opened a great door of opportunity for them to partake in a variety of different events – this situation being just one of many.
Just hours after Niall announced that he’s raised over £560,000 for the Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens charity, he paid an exciting visit to a group of brave young souls at a bowling alley; ones that he claimed to be “really inspiring.”
They had been through so much but they were all so strong and positive. I’m so glad we’ve been able to raise so much money for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens. Cancer is the biggest killer of children, teens, and young adults in the UK… which is why it’s so important to raise money to find cures and kinder treatments towards the disease.
A father who goes by the name Fermisk Mustafa, explained how amazing Niall was with the children – “My three year old son had to have his kidney removed last year after he was struck with a tumor, and Niall was just so caring with him. He had so much fun bowling and towards the end of it all, Niall gave him a high five… which Karos loved.”
According to the MirrorUK about 1,700 children under the age of 14, and 2,300 young adults between the ages of 15 and 24, are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK.
There are never enough words to fully express our gratitude towards the selfless human being Niall has proven himself to be. We can hardly explain how proud we are of his accomplishments and how his drive to find a cure is incredibly inspiring.
Thank you so much for being you and for continuing to make the world a better place.
