Just recently, girl group Fifth Harmony celebrated their four years as a group together. From breaking billboard records to selling out whole stadiums worldwide, these girls have done it all. Unfortunately, they’ve faced numerous hardships from the media. Luckily, Normani Kordei has spoken up.

From being criticized for their outfits, to being teared apart for apparent internal conflict within the band signaling a split, Kordei took the time to speak to fans and watchers worldwide about the creation of drama that doesn’t even exist.

Kordei goes on to say that:

I have love and respect for all four of my bandmates whether you choose to believe it or not. My conscience and spirit are clear. For those of you who enjoy speculating and creating drama that doesn’t exist, please keep in mind that myself and the other girls in the group are PEOPLE, we feel hurt and sadness just like everyone else.

Ultimately this type of realization is sad because the girl group have always talked about embracing the power of womanhood and accepting who we are as people.

Speculators worldwide need to understand the simple common ground that is this: You don’t know everything. And by everything, we mean the behind the scenes. Remember that huge artists like Fifth Harmony are intensely watched 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The resting away from the public eye never stops. But, many musicians and celebrities understand this as do this girl group.

Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean we should speculate a certain situation because of a mere rumor or apparent action. There’s more to something than meets the eye.

At the end of the day, we all deserve respect. So accusing and pointing fingers at false ideologies and making up one-dimensional opinions holds no value.

Sometimes speaking up is the only way to get through and we applaud Kordei for always speaking her mind – no matter what the discussion may enfold.

Fifth Harmony are a girl group of five ambitious women who all hold one truth – To inspire. So you can either respect that, or simply move on.
