Being on a hiatus isn’t stopping One Direction from snagging some well-deserved awards!
The Italian MTV Awards were held on Sunday evening (June 19) in the historic Parco delle Cascine in Florence. Taking home the award for ‘Best International Band’ was One Direction. They held the title of best band for two years straight, having won in 2013 and 2014.
Directioners received some recognition as they were presented with the award for ‘Best Fans,’ an award previously given to Directioners in 2013. The title is fitting seeing as the MTV award winners are voted on by fans.
The two awards are proof of what One Direction and their fans have been singing for months:
