Pink has been selected to be the next receiver of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award which will be presented at the 2017 MTV VMAs. The ceremony will take place on August 27th at the Forum in Inglewood.
The So What singer joins the ranks of previous recipients such as; Madonna, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and more.
Pink was chosen “for her trailblazing impact on music, pop culture, fashion and philanthropy” according to MTV officials. She will also perform her new single What About Us.
The award is MTV’s ultimate honour as it commends a performer’s influence on contemporary art, music and fashion. We think Pink deserves the award and rightly so!
Katy Perry will be presenting the show and more artists are set to perform such as; Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Weeknd, Lorde, Fifth Harmony etc.
Earlier this week, Pink aka Alecia Moore released her brand new single What About Us and has also released news of an upcoming album Beautiful Trauma.

I could not be more excited right now. My single comes out today "what About Us" and my new album "Beautiful Trauma" comes out October 13th. I'm certifiably, insanely proud of this album. It's been a while, and I'm grateful for all the years we've had. Looking forward to the next chapter with you.
We can’t wait to see her perform the song and receive the well-deserved award.
Congratulations Pink, we are so proud of you!
