Florida native PLS&TY released an addictive upbeat song for summer a few days ago, entitled “Ride or Die,” featuring Los Angeles-based Barbados-born singer-songwriter Bobby Saint.
Speaking about the song, PLS&TY says, “‘Ride or Die’ is a summertime, feel-good single that encompasses love and romance. Bobby Saint’s vocals lead listeners to imagine time spent in a tropical paradise with their partner. Together, Bobby Saint and I created a song that transmits the ethos of the PLS&TY brand: good vibes and good times. Enjoy.”
EDM artist PLS&TY, aka Tommy Leas, again and again, rises to the top spot on the electronic charts. “Good Vibes” took the number one slot on iTunes’ US Electronic Charts, along with “Down For Me,” which once more was number one on iTunes, followed by “Rebel Love” and “Motives,” both of which skyrocketed to the peak position on iTunes and entered the Top 25 on Billboard’s Electronic Charts.
Grammy-nominated Morgan Page, Rusko, Cazzette, Bondax, and YehMe2 (Josh from Flosstradamus latest venture), remixed PLS&TY’s music, followed by PLS&TY doing a remix of Genevieve’s “Colors.” The song was featured in a TV commercial for Hershey’s and collected more than 1 billion views.
Last year, he released his EP, Very Special, which includes collaborations with Sean Kingston, Wifisfuneral, and Alex Aiono of Netflix’s Finding Ohana fame.
Bobby Saint, aka Hal Linton, is not only a producer and singer but an accomplished instrumentalist, who merges his soulful vocals with funky guitar riffs into scrummy sonic creations. His latest single is “Alright,” brimming with gospel-like savors and dazzling harmonies.
“Ride or Die” opens on shiny bursts of color flowing into a contagious rhythm flavored with EDM snap and hints of tasty hip-hop. A fat, catlike bassline imbues the cadence rumbling graceful pulsations as lush, buoyant vocals imbue the lyrics with effervescent energy.
As superb as the melody is, the highlight is the irresistible voices of PLS&TY and Bobby Saint, whose gilded timbers recall Bruno Mars crossed with Michael Jackson, only fresher, infused with bright and breezy tones.
With “Ride or Die,” PLS&TY and Bobby Saint deliver the perfect enthusiastic song to listen to all summer long.
