PREMIERE: Coyote Eyes Releases Latest Single “Looking For God”

Coyote Eyes, (also known as New York’s Jo Eubanks) has released her latest single “Looking For God.” Eubanks is a classically trained singer who explores grit and honesty in her lyrics over atmospheric dark pop melodies. Check out the track below.

Directed towards victims of substance abuse, “Looking For God” is a hauntingly poignant ballad that provides the listener with a sense of solace, in a situation where there isn’t always comfort to be found. The track was produced by Mario J. Mcnulty (David Bowie, Philip Glass, Prince) and holds a cinematic quality through layering of instrumentals and Eubanks’ vocals.

“Looking for God” is about one of the hardest words in the English language: ‘help.'” Eubanks says of the song, “It is about searching for goodness in the darkest of places. Mostly, it is a requiem for all those silenced by addiction.”

Coyote Eyes is a New York City based singer-songwriter with a background in theatre. Last Fall, she released her debut single under, “Rain.” Fans can catch her upcoming performance at Rockwood Music Hall on April 30th.
