KCON 2018 NY has announced that its two final acts for its concert lineup are girl group Red Velvet and boy group Pentagon. The two acts will be performing alongside Wanna One, EXID, Heize, fromis_9, NCT 127, Stray Kids, and Super Junior for the East Coast leg of the KCON USA convention, which will take place on June 23-24 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Tickets for the convention go on sale May 11 at 3PM EST.

Red Velvet has previously performed at KCON USA in Los Angeles, but this will be the first time they will be performing in New York. Named one of the best K-pop groups by Time, Red Velvet has achieved great success since debuting in 2014. With several EPs and studio albums to their name, the group has topped Billboard’s World Albums charts on several occasions. Most recently, Red Velvet performed their hits “Red Flavor” and “Bad Boy” in Pyongyang, becoming the fifth idol group to ever perform in North Korea.

Pentagon, formed by Cube Entertainment in 2016, is a ten-member group that was introduced through survival show Pentagon Maker. Their latest single, “Shine,” has helped the group top the Social 50 chart at No.37. Their performance at KCON 2018 NY will mark the group’s debut in the US.
