Since the 2015 series of the X Factor ended in December, runners up Reggie N Bollie have kept in close contact with their mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
The rap duo recently went to lunch with the X Factor judge and since the show ended the pair have become close friends with their former mentor.
And now the lovable pair, who are now signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco, have confirmed that they still regularly chat to Cheryl and that she often offers them invaluable advice.
Speaking to the Daily Record ahead of the X factor tour, Bollie who is married to Mira and has a step son and baby daughter said:
“During the tour we are not going to be with our family for a month. “Cheryl has kept in touch with us and about three weeks ago we had dinner with her team. She advised our wives to be strong and stand behind their husbands and help them, push them and help our lives”.
“The opportunities we have been given come with a lot of gains musically and financially but we need to make sure the family is well stabilised and we’ve been getting that advice and help from there.”
And Reggie who is married to Edith and has two sons added: “Right after the show ended Cheryl told us to make sure we had quality time with our wives. She advised us to take them somewhere they would have a great time before everything got busy again.”
“Cheryl texts us now and again and asks us how we are doing and we message her back.
“She’s told us she’s there any time we need help with recording and has said she is going to be available to assist us. We couldn’t have asked for a better mentor than Cheryl and the support she has given us transcends our musical journey and goes into our personal life.“She gives us the best advice.”
Reggie N Bollie who are originally from Ghana will take to the stage tonight at the AECC in Aberdeen as the X Factor tour kicks off.
