We review Little Mix’s rescheduled Belfast tour date

After the 31st March ‘Get Weird Tour’ date was cancelled, finally it was time for Little Mix to perform in Belfast at the rescheduled date.

The show was sold out, with extra production tickets being released a few hours before the show. The girls also performed a sold out matinee afternoon show.

There were two support acts – Philippa Hanna and Jessarae. Philippa Hanna was phenomenal, she spoke about not believing in herself but she had grown in confidence, proving a real inspiration.

Jessarae received a brilliant response from the crowd. He performed on the 5 Seconds of Summer ‘Sounds Live, Feels Live Tour’ and is set to perform a headline show in Belfast later on this month.

One thing I did notice was that the set looked quite boring. To me, the stage looked incredibly small and there was only a set of stairs down the middle.

In fairness to the girls, they did put on an incredibly energetic set, having everyone on their feet the whole time. The atmosphere when they did their mash-up was incredible!

The girls read out a lot of posters in the audience – and one girl had a poster saying that she had just been dumped and quoted some ‘Hair’ lyrics. There was a very cute Jerrie moment at this stage.

I was incredibly disappointed at the fact there were no costume changes during the entire set. The girls had performed the European tour setlist, and didn’t perform songs such as ‘I Won’t’ – which was disappointing.

In addition to this, there was no apology from the girls for their cancellation in March, which was incredibly shocking. Despite Jade tweeting earlier on in the day thanking the Belfast fans for their patience, I personally expected an apology.

After the show, Mixers were quick to take to Twitter, with some criticising the fact that the girls used the European setlist, and it wasn’t fair to fans who were only able to attend this tour date.

Overall, it was a good show and I loved seeing the girls live again, but I did expect a costume change and a better set, performing all songs that were originally meant to be performed. After all, we were promised to get the ‘original show.’
