There have been rumours going around for a couple of years that Rihanna may launch her own fashion and beauty label. Everyone has been speculating as to what the makeup would involve.
Refinery 29 interviewed Rihanna a while back and asked whether Rihanna would be purchasing the trademark for ‘Fenty Beauty’ (Fenty is Rihanna’s legal surname) and she was very open about it:
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve always had so much on my hands. But, this time, I’m going to make sure it happens. I’m going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that. I promise.”
Well, Rihanna fans, it’s finally happening! Fenty Beauty has been in the works for a while and is officially going to be coming to a makeup store near you.
The Kendo divisions of LVMH (Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton) have sealed the deal with the star, reportedly paying her $10 million to confirm it.
Previous collaborations with Rihanna have been hugely successful, especially her last beauty collaboration with MAC Cosmetics.
Her MAC x Riri lipstick sold out within hours once it hit MAC’s stores! So, there is no doubt her own makeup line will be just as successful and exciting.
