Rita Ora is the latest big name to be confirmed as a performer at the BRIT Awards 2018.
The ‘Anywhere’ songstress will be making her BRITs performance debut and joins the already confirmed Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Stormzy, Dua Lipa, Foo Fighters, Rag’n’Bone Man and Jorja Smith.
Speaking about the news, Rita said: “I am so honoured to be performing at The BRITs this year, as a British artist it has always been a dream of mine and I am beyond excited.”
BRITs Chairman & CEO and Chairman of Sony Music UK & Ireland Jason Iley added: “The BRIT Awards are a celebration of the biggest success stories of the last 12 months in music and Rita has had an incredible year. She is one of the most exciting British artists of her generation. I am so pleased to welcome her to The BRITs stage and very much look forward to what will undoubtedly be one of the evenings many highlights.”
2017 was an incredible year for Rita Ora. Not only did she storm the charts with her solo singles ‘Your Song’ and ‘Anywhere’, but she also enjoyed success with Avicii on ‘Lonely Together’. 2018 is already looking promising for the songstress, with ‘For You’, her Fifty Shades Freed collab with Liam Payne, on the brink of breaking into the UK top ten. She also released a new track called ‘Proud’ just last week.
The BRIT Awards 2018 is fast approaching and we couldn’t be more excited. Hosted by Jack Whitehall, this year’s ceremony will take place at London’s O2 Arena on February 21. Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran lead the nominations with five and four nods respectively.
