Songwriter, musician and singer Sabrina Pirzada has shared her debut 10-track album and it is a compelling one. Entitled Tell Them Not To Look For Me, the collection of songs fuse a variety of genres including Americana, pop, rock and folk.
Tell Them Not To Look For Me discusses important life themes including taking risks, finding love, and dealing with loss. The album begins with the upbeat folk pop single “Countin’ Down to Midnight”. The fun-loving song details a true love and deep connection for a hopeful narrative. Sabrina’s strange yet charismatic vocals enthrall with every note. Then there is the downtempo emotive reverie that is “You Put the Rock n’ Roll Back”. The nostalgic song is timeless with flickering keys and blazing horns, making it a standout listen. Sabrina’s Americana track “Tell Them Not To Look For Me” highlights twangy guitars, warm acoustic and lush strings. The song narrates taking the risk of falling head first in love and trying to find solace in all life’s ups and downs.
Sabrina Pirzada is a unique singer with a confident vocal delivery. She confides, “I’m trying to create a world within these songs that everyone can be a part of. All I really did to get there was write my stories down, and my hope is that maybe you’ll see your stories in there somewhere too.” With Tell Them Not To Look For Me, she has created just that.
